Domaine de la Borde is a tiny Jura estate in the appellation of Arbois-Pupillin that makes unique, characterful wines. Winemaker Julien Mareschel cultivates 5 ha, of which 3.5 ha are dedicated to white varieties (Chardonnay and Savagnin), while the remaining 1.5 ha to red varieties (Trousseau, Pinot Noir and Ploussard). Half of the vines are more than 30 years old, and the other half were planted between 1985 and 1990; the estate is entirely organic/biodynamic. The fact that harvesting takes place only by hand, and a meticulous vinification process ensure that his wines resemble Julien's character and style.
